Mr. Freeman is the President of Gateway Development Corporation where he is responsible for all aspects of the development activities. His team locates the property to be developed, coordinates with city and state officials and is responsible for submitting applications for financing for the projects. Gateway is currently developing apartment communities in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. The goals for expansion are the states of South Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma.

Mr. Freeman has been with Gateway since 2010. He began his career with Gateway in Asset Management before transitioning into the development field for the past 7 years. In those 7 years, Mr. Freeman has been involved in the development of more than 30 apartment communities in the Southeast. Prior to his employment with Gateway Development, Mr. Freeman worked for Alabama Farmers Cooperative in Decatur, AL as an accountant.

Mr. Freeman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Management from the University of North Alabama. Mr. Freeman is a certified tax credit compliance professional (C9P) for Low Income Housing Tax Credits and a certified S.T.A.R. professional for Rural Development Housing.
