Jason Curran serves as Senior Vice-President at Gateway Management Company. In his role, Curran is responsible for all facets of the company’s accounting, human resources, and information technology. Curran joined Gateway Management Company in April of 2018 as the Director of Accounting. Prior to that time, Curran worked on the Gateway portfolio of properties as an outside auditor from 2011 through 2018.

​​​Prior to joining Gateway Management Company, Curran’s tenure included working for two nationally recognized real estate accounting firms. He was an Audit Manager at the Tidwell Group in Birmingham, AL and a Senior Auditor at Cohn Reznick in Atlanta, GA.  Curran primarily specialized in the real estate industry with an emphasis on low income-income housing, tax credit projects, and HUD assisted projects at each accounting firm. He provided audit services to residential real estate funds and property level project funds. In addition to his real estate experience, Curran also has experience with Governmental Entity, Not-For Profit, 401k Plan, and Real Estate State Development Engagements. He assisted clients with Final Tax Credit Cost Certifications, HUD Mortgagor’s Cost Certifications, HUD Contractor’s Cost Certification, HOME Loan Contractor’s Cost Certification, 10% Test, and a variety of Agreed-Upon Procedure reports in the affordable housing Industry.

​​​Curran obtained a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama where he majored in Accounting and minored in Computer Science and Technology. He also holds a Master of Accountancy from The University of Alabama. He’s a current and/or former member of the following organizations: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants of Alabama, and the Birmingham Young CPA’s.​
